Absolutely support this!

Writing an RFC (Request for Comment) or having a Technical Design document has transformed my team’s delivery.

It empowers engineers and allows space for structured creativity.

The approach avoids lengthy meetings where decisions are not clear.

Additionally, it enables the team to easily align with the entire organisation using just one document!

Yes! I see in meetings without a supporting document that ideas fly through the air and people don't reach a conclusion. With a doc, at least ideas are grounded. Even if the team decides to reject what the doc says, I see it as a way to "fail fast", at least faster than a brainstorming meeting with no meeting notes afterwards
