Thank you for the article! I think these objectives are correct for starting a leadership journey. It would also be nice to explain how to achieve this if the company doesn't provide opportunities or if you are a freelancer. How can one grow their leadership skills in such situations?

Thanks for your words, Vladimir!

I think the first step is to start doing some of these behaviors. Then ask the manager about it, and if the answer is something like "we don't pay you for this", then you have examples to share in an interview with another company if you decide you don't want to stay in the same place

Yes, I agree. This works well in medium or large companies. However, for someone with a freelance job or working in a startup, it can be challenging. They might have great technical skills but lack a manager or mentor to support their leadership growth. In such cases, should they focus on finding mentors, reading articles or books, or using AI tools?

Hey Vladimir, I'm glad you like our article.

I've been working as a freelancer since 2020 and I can tell you from experience that you will make the best progress if you have a good mentor.

A official lead title is not necessary to perform managerial tasks and then you can use this experience either for a promotion or during an interview.

I think in the end, you need to try to put it into practice. As I mentioned, either try to do it in the current job focusing in what you control, or ding the place to apply it

Leadership starts with ownership, not a title!

One book that totally changed my perspective about leadership.

It's easy to see when someone has the title but is not leading!

Thanks for sharing the book, Raul!
